Sunnyvale Wrestling is proud to support Victor Lopez Villatoro as he takes the next step in his wrestling career — competing against the best young wrestlers in the country at the 2026 USA Wrestling 16U National Duals (Cadet Duals) in Farmington, Utah this June, and the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior & 16U National Championships at the FargoDome in Fargo, North Dakota this July. With your help, we can get him there.
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENTS
The 16U National Duals (commonly known as the Cadet Duals) bring together state teams from across the country for one of USA Wrestling's premier age-group team competitions — a chance for the nation's best 16U wrestlers to represent their home state on a national stage.
A few weeks later, the U.S. Marine Corps Junior & 16U Nationals — "Fargo" — is the largest and most prestigious age-group wrestling tournament in the United States. Each July, thousands of athletes from all 50 states travel to the FargoDome to compete for All-American honors. For young wrestlers, earning a spot on the mat in Fargo is a career-defining milestone — and the level of competition pushes every athlete to grow.

ABOUT VICTOR
Victor Lopez Villatoro is a freshman at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale and competes at 215 lbs. for Sunnyvale Wrestling Club. After months of relentless training, Victor has made a major impact on the mat — winning 1st place at the 16U California State Freestyle Championship and quickly rising from the beginner levels of the sport to competing among California's best young wrestlers.
What separates Victor is the speed of his growth and the determination he brings into every practice and competition. In a short amount of time, he has shown the work ethic, discipline, and toughness needed to succeed in one of the most demanding sports. His commitment to improving every day has helped him develop into a serious competitor and a proud representative of both Fremont High School and the Sunnyvale wrestling community.
For Victor, competing at the Cadet Duals and Fargo Nationals means more than just attending two of the country's biggest wrestling tournaments — it represents the progress he has made through dedication and perseverance. These are the next steps in his journey, and an opportunity to represent his hometown on the national stage while testing himself against the top wrestlers in the country.

WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING
Competing at the Cadet Duals and Fargo Nationals back-to-back is an incredible opportunity — and an expensive one. Between airfare, lodging at the team hotel for both tournament weeks, ground transportation, meals, tournament entry, USA Wrestling registration, and competition gear, the total cost runs to roughly $3,000. Your contribution helps cover those costs so Victor can focus on his training and his matches, not the bill.
WHERE YOUR DONATION GOES
Tournament entry fees and USA Wrestling registration
Round-trip airfare to Utah and to Fargo, ND
Lodging during both tournament weeks
Meals and local transportation
Singlets, warm-ups, and competition gear
