ABOUT FARGO NATIONALS

Known simply as "Fargo," the U.S. Marine Corps Junior & 16U Nationals is the largest and most prestigious age-group wrestling tournament in the United States. Each July, thousands of athletes from all 50 states travel to the FargoDome to compete for All-American honors. For young wrestlers, earning a spot on the mat in Fargo is a career-defining milestone — and the level of competition pushes every athlete to grow.

ABOUT LILLIAN

Lillian Fonceca is a sophomore at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale and competes at 115 lbs. in the 16U division for Sunnyvale Wrestling. This past season she earned a trip to the CIF California State Wrestling Championships as a sophomore state qualifier — one of the toughest accomplishments in high school wrestling, in one of the toughest states in the country.

What sets Lillian apart isn't just her results on the mat — it's the work behind them. She's one of the most dedicated wrestlers in our room, putting in the extra rounds, the extra drills, and the extra conditioning that her peers don't always see. She brings that same discipline to the classroom, where she currently carries a 3.889 GPA. She's the definition of a student-athlete, and the kind of young person every program hopes to develop.

Fargo is the next step on her journey, and she has earned the opportunity to test herself against the very best 16U wrestlers in the nation.

WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING

Competing at Fargo is an incredible opportunity — and an expensive one. Between airfare, lodging at the team hotel for the tournament week, ground transportation, meals, tournament entry, USA Wrestling registration, and competition gear, the total cost runs to roughly $[amount].
