“The Wrestling Coach” Jeff Marsh June 17 - 20

This will be Coach Marsh’s 4th straight year coming out for the summer and covering his mat wrestling system. This camp will be for all ages from youth wrestlers through high school. More information coming soon but all of our standard camp info below will likely hold true again this year.

This is a developmental Folkstyle camp is will not be suitable for anyone who is qualified for Fargo or still training the Olympic Styles this summer.


Black Sheep Camps and Clinics is traditionally what we call anything we do where we bring in outside clinicians from beyond our coaching staff.

We have no camps or clinics scheduled at this time. Please come back for more information.


GENERAL CAMP INFO

  • Camp Location (useless otherwise noted):

    • Fremont High School 575 W Fremont Ave. Sunnyvale, CA 94087

  • Schedule

    • Doors Open - 8:30 AM

    • Session 1 - 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

    • Break - 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM

    • Session 2 - 12:15 PM - 2:30 PM

    • Doors Close - 3:00 PM

  • Full Day vs. Half Day

    • Full Day is for both sessions

    • Half Day is for just session 1

    • The second half of the day the intensity and level of technique will be increased. Half day might be more appropriate for younger or less experienced wrestlers.

  • Staff

    • Head Clinician

      • Our Head Clinician will be the person teaching each camp. They will be in charge of instructing our counselors and campers in all wrestling activities.

    • Camp Director

      • Will be facilitating each camp, working to support the Head Clinician, and manage the staff. Our camp director will be maintaining the high expectations we have for our camp system.

    • Counselors

      • Our counselors will be college age wrestlers who are managing the learning and learning themselves from the Head Clinician. They are tasked with modeling behavior and supporting the learning and growth of our campers.

    • Trainer

      • Our trainer is for emergencies only. This is not an intensive camp. Our trainer will do little more than provide ice or inform us when an ambulance needs to be called. We do not expect a line of people looking to get taped up prior to each session.
